A Hi Tech Open Source Co-Operative Project for Mankind

 The Earth Ship Network

    Space, Has NO Boarders!
Open Source in this context means that to the extent possible, All designs both hardware and software will be developed using open source solutions.
Any and all exceptions will be determined by system and developmental requirements.

If you have the proper skill sets, be sure to sign up to be evaluated for access to our project collaboration servers.

    Billionaires Wanted!

Donations and Funding

Our Initial Fundraising Goal is $15,000,000.00. Although this amount would seem to be a huge sum of money, it is in actuality only covering basic startup costs, staffing, facilities, and basic research expenses. This project will NOT be completed over night, in fact, this project may take anywhere from a decade to several decades to complete depending on funding and research results, although we hope for faster results than could be achieved from any government program of similar ambition. We are completely dependent on Private and Corporate donations for our existence and our success or failure to achieve our goals.

 Our Charter Mission

Our goal is through donations of time money and skills by various private and government contributors,  to design, build, construct in orbit, and populate a series of orbital based biospheres (Or Torus's,) capable of safely supporting a relatively large population. acting as a  large scale solar energy platform. As well as preserving  earths varied plant and animal life forms as both a safe haven against future disasters and  as a universal life support system for hopefully, not to distant future inter-planetary missions or even colonization. And as advanced microgravity research platforms as well as commercial production facilities.

The ships currently only with a working name of "The Earth Ships", Would be placed in geostationary orbit . And would also provide a long term space based laboratory and astronomical observatory, and high end space based living accommodations.
